About Coastal Property Management

Director - Marielena "Mari" Hernández was born to an American mother and a Costa Rican father in Costa Rica. She is a dual citizen.

She is originally from San Jose, but her family traveled to Guanacaste a lot during her childhood, and she moved to Tamarindo in 2004 full time. Her prior experience includes retail and working in a doctor´s office. She wanted a change in her life, and was very happy to move to the coast. She gained valuable experience working in two attorneys´s offices that focused on real estate before moving into real estate directly in 2008. In her spare time, Mari enjoys going to the beach, doing Pilates, and traveling to new places.

Maintenance, Project Management & Marketing - Cameron Compton is originally from San Francisco, California. Prior to moving to Costa Rica in 2006 she lived in Lake Tahoe, California where she completed her Bachelors degree in Humanities at Sierra Nevada College.

Cameron has worked in the hospitality field for over ten years with experience in Hotels, ski resorts, restaurants, tennis clubs and Property management. As such she is passionate about her work and dedicated to providing the best possible customer service.

In her free time she enjoys playing with her kids Cyrus and Ramona, surfing and doing yoga.

Accounting - Cinthya Castro was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. At the age of 21, she moved to Guanacaste looking for adventure. Since then, she has worked in a variety of management positions, from retail to restaurant management, and at one time, she ran her own business, MY Collections, a high end leather bag and purse store. She is now passionate about her new career at Coastal Property Management. Based on her solid background and desire to be a team player, she looks forward to growing and learning more about the wonderful world of real estate and property management in Guanacaste, furthering her goals and ambitions in this beautiful region of Costa Rica.

Flamingo Property Manager - Hans Morales was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. He graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

His work experience includes many years working in the insurance industry with InterSeguros, an insurance sales company with office in San Jose and Tamarindo, mostly assessing with Property and Casualty Insurance. He has worked with both foreigners and nationals for most of his career. In his spare time, Hans enjoys playing with his two Brazilian Filas and playing soccer.

Owner - Eddie Davis hails from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He came to Costa Rica with a degree from Emory University in 2003.

He quickly became involved in real estate as a top agent in the area by the age of 25. He founded his own company, Coastal Realty Costa Rica, in 2006 and then came back to Hidden Coast Realty as the managing partner. Quickly, he built a new company, Hidden Coast Realty Property Management, to offer high quality management and marketing to his clients who owned homes and condos in the area. That company quickly became the leader in the area in terms of quality of service, rentals booked, and low costs.

In 2011, he decided to step back from sales in order to focus on running his businesses. He bought out the remainder of his property management company and changed the name to Coastal Property Management. He also founded For Rent Costa Rica, a marketing company designed to consolidate the rental market in the country. In addition, he was accepted into the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business as a Lorberbaum Fellow in the MBA program.

In his spare time, Eddie enjoys surfing, yoga, reading, spending time with his dogs, Rufus and Frosty, and travel.
